Voltaire the Gypsy King

The winds were fair and blowing lightly. The air was crisp and faintly cool, the ground and trees in shades of gold, orange and red. Almost looked like a painting, the trees separated just enough for a trail big enough for a wagon. The trail paved with fallen leaves of gold and orange. If one look hard enough, you could see the leaves had been disturbed and even some tried to settle back down. Not to far down the way a wagon was traveling, a few of them. They were not just wagons, but caravans too. People all walking around them, riding in them, and some steered the horses that pulled them.

The caravans had carvings in the side of them and beautiful folk art painted on them. They were of different colors, some bright and some dark. The people that travels with it wore colors, the males wore bloused shirts that were white or light beige, with pants that were baggy and had a few patches on them, but were generally black or dark colored. They wore boots, some to their knees, others to their ankles. Women wore blouses of different style and where thinner, it draped off some of their shoulders. Some of them had under corsets on and short under corsets with designs of flora and other things. They wore skirts that were bright colors and some had patches and flared out when they spun. Both males and females wore scarfs around their waist of many colors and some wore then on their heads. Few of the females had waist wrap with coins dangling off them. They also wore bells on their ankles, though not all. If you haven't gather they were gypsies and they travel from town to town and cities to cities. They kept outside the towns and cities though, most do not like having gypsies around.

In the front, was a caravan that was burgundy with navy blue trim and teal flora designs. Riding in it was two men, one who wore red tail coat with black fringe on the shoulders. He had black pants with a silk black line on the sides of them, the coat also had a few metal pins on it. It had a few rips, especially in the elbows and shoulders. He also had a top hat, it look silky and had only minor fray to it and he wore a old white button up shirt. The other male wore black old worn button up shirt, a old vest that had a few tears and rips in it. He had black worn down pants, they had a few fray edges and tears in it, with some patches. A top hat that the top of it was torn and pushed up like a open can, it ha d quite a few fray marks on it.

The red coat wearing male had a small nicely trim mustache  and his hair was dark brown. His hair long and pinned back, he was steering the horses. The other male had a neatly trim beard and short black hair, that with out the hat was spiky. He was leaning back slouched in his seat, with his top hat tilted forward. They traveled to a town, to get money with their talents and such. Sometimes they set up a carnival for people to come by. They sell things too and do all kinds of stuff, mostly whatever their leader had in mind. They trusted him and all had a family because of him. He brought them together and protected them, watching over them.

He had taken all who were outcasted and just wanders and give them a home and purpose. Their leader, was interesting and though he was not always around, he made sure they were safe. He always had other things to tend to, but came home to them. They were a close knit family and if ever they thought to bow to anyone they would to this man. Even though they never have and he'd never ask. Just who is this man that they see so highly of, is none other then Voltaire, their gypsy king as they love to jest.
