Communication?

Star was still feeling weak from trying to feed on the human. He got caught up in scaring and torturing the guy, he just went for it. He was sitting at a local tavern, nursing the blood Tristan gave him.Ever since finding out Gabriel was gone Star gotten into a trend of attacking people now. He'd beaten up a guy who was only trying to defend a friend, beat the crap out of that guy. Then he was beating on a guy who just wanted to play music and begged to be left alone. So now he was sitting at the tavern, thinking on who he was going to go after next. While he was sitting in there, Nine was at the entrance watching Star.

He just left from talking with Gabriel, he knew he needed to talk to him.However it was hard, cause he'd never been around and now Star sitting here like a grown man. How does one begin to try and form a bond? He then sighs and slowly moved into the tavern. Heading to the table that Star sat at and would sit on the other side. Star saw Nine and just watched him. He wasn't sure of the vampire, they never been on good terms. Star always assume he was invisible to the man, however Nine was sitting in front of him...looking at him. There was just a silent stare down for a while, the two watching the other. If Gabriel or anyone else was here, they probably get annoyed and tell one of them to talk. However, the two were content at the moment staring at the other. A tavern wench broke the silence though when she asked if she could get them anything. Nine spoke " Yeah your strongest drink." Star chimed" two." still staring Nine down.

Nine look to the boy and spoke finally "How have you been?"Star raised a brow "How have I been? Seriously thats what you ask?" Nine shrugs "Look I am not good at this, its no excuse..but." he took a deep breath "I know I haven't been there, I ...just. Its hard to talk to you. Cause I wasn't there, when I did find out about you, you were pretty much grown. On top of that, you really remind me of your mother. You have her eyes and spirit. It is no excuse, just....I loved your mother. I miss her greatly, I was...destroyed by her death." Star just listen. This was strange, Nine was actually talking to him and talking like he was a person who existed.

Nine took Star silence as a means to continue "So...I think now I should just suck up and actually try to make some connection. I am not asking you to come back to the castle, I actually want you away from there. You need to be free from that place, was never what I wanted for you." Star just watched him. He just didn't know what to say, he'd always wanted to talk to this man. Now this was his chance and he was speechless.Nine watched Star and hoped he would speak, but it was silent again. Finally Star spoke up " Gabriels dead." Nine wanted to say 'oh no he lives.'However he just said "How do you feel about that?I know you two were not on good terms." Star looked down "I mean no we were not, after everything, he kept pushing me away." Nine raised a brow, but let the boy talk. "And then when he did come around I just pushed him away. I didn't listen to anything he said and now I can't tell him I cared...or apologies or anything.He is gone and he died thinking no one cared." Nine frowned some "I am sure he knows." though he remember his and Gabriels talk.Star shook his head "I don't think so, I'll never know and like...the worse part is..its my fault."

Nine would tilt his head "How so?" Star look down "I told my friend how he bothered me, hurt me. They took it upon themselves to fix it, I told them I didn't care if they went after Gabriel. That I wouldn't stop them and now he's dead and its my fault." Nine shook his head " You can't blame yourself.Trust me...I've done my share of things I regret. Besides in this family everyone is against each other." Star rolled his eyes " Yes heavens forbid anyone get close to anyone." Nine nods"I want to break that actually. Why I am here. If we are to ever do better and break Caine cycle....then it has to start here. I can't promise I will always be around, but...I am here. I know you are grown, I know I can't do much. However I am here if you need to talk or you want advice."

Star spoke "Yeah got any advice on emotions?" it was a half joke. Nine shrugs "Emotions are a constant struggle, there is no good advice to give on them. Just that you should experience them, enjoy them, don't fight them. I know for you, emotions seem like a curse. However they can be great, especially if ever you experience love. That emotion is a high you can never match. " Star shook his head" You are as bad as Gabriel...no one tells me anything useful of them." Nine then says" cause there is no books on them Star. It's different for each person.All I can say is to not give into your anger to much, don't bottle them up. Don't let yourself be sad for so long, find the joy in things. I wasted a long time of my life being depressed, sad and angry. I don't want you to do the same."

Star sighs and looks at the bottle. "Gabriels blood?" Nine ask. Star gives a nod "I feel guilty every time I drink it....its like all I can think is how I shoved him away and told him he was useless.That he was just an empty husk....." Nine shrugs "I've said worse things too and to him. Just know he did care, just he didn't know how to express it with you." Star shrugs. Nine then would reach into his pocket "It has come to my attention however...you probably never seen your mother or to say you probably don't know what she looks like. I've carried this ever since she passed. I had it enchanted so it not fade or be destroyed easily." he hand the locket to Star who just looked confused. He would open it and just stared at the picture. "I think you should know what she looks like...in time I'll tell you about her.She was a wonderful soul." Star felt this overwhelming emotion and was trying so hard to keep it in. He wanted to cry, but also he was angry and happy? He was confused.Nine saw the boys expression and just says " Its yours and she want you to have it. She loved you sooo much."

Nine got up "I can't stay long this time, cause I need to go back, but I will see you again." Star was speechless again, Nine would give him a weak smile and let him be alone with the locket.
