The demon Astaroth had manipulated Nine mind, into thinking his new target was someone else. He been tracking and trailing the being for not long. Though he couldn't shake why this scent or presence felt so familiar, he tried to shake it off to happen chance. Perhaps he met them before on his travels, even though it just bothered. His target the Demon sent him after he thought was some Vampire lord, as he had been having him go after. However this was not a Vampire lord, it was son Star instead.
Star was going over the strange encounter from well the very demon, only he did not know this demon was the one controlling his father. Had he known though it would prove his theory to his uncle who just shook it off and told him he was wrong without really listening to him. Now Nine saw this being wasn't paying attention, or atleast he thought they were not. So he took this moment to strike with his blade. However Star never believed in letting ones guard down, plus his grandfather and Voltaire train him to be prepared. So when he heard the unsheathing of a blade and felt a presence close, he dodge and drew his own sword.
However when he stared at the being that stood before him, seeing it was his own father. He felt a little something, but it didn't last long. This whole moment, did not surprise Star in the least "I knew this day would come." he tells him. Nine almost look confused, but that he must have heard about the other lords he took out. "Well its nothing personal." Nine state in a cold tone.Star smirked "Oh really? Well if you feel that way then." Nine moved to strike, but Star dodge and deflect his blade with his own.
Star had alot of training, he was groomed for battles and more. Since Star never really had any friends but one, finding them a distraction. He would study all day in books or sword fights with his grandpa. His detachment to the world made it were Caine could really train him. Unlike his uncle who would complain or think Caine method cruel, Star saw it as a means to get better and possibly one day beat his own grandfather. Caine also had Voltaire teach the boy how to fight as well, since strategy was Voltaire strong suit. So all this training came in hand when facing Nine, plus Voltaire knew Star's mother fighting style.
The way he would deflect and parry, Nine felt like he seen such moves before, but couldn't place it.He just assume he was over thinking things and was getting aggravated that this punk lord wasn't going down easily. He did manage to barely get him in the shoulder, but every time he thought he had this kid, some how it was turned against him. He then went to send shadow tendrils to hold the bastard down. Star saw them coming and during this whole event that happen, from when Gabriel wanted Caine dead, to Nine going crazy, Star had learn a few new tricks. Not only that, but knew he could stop them by distracting Nine concentration. Star would pull out a small dagger and throws it. Making its mark into Nine shoulder and causing him to wince, as he pulled it out. However when he pulled it out, it caused him to bleed and Star would use that blood to make a tendril and choke his father. Which caused the shadow tendrils to disappear.
Then Star moved fast strike Nine, however Nine manage to bring his blade to block. Which is where Star saw his moment, pulling out another Dagger, a bigger one that was hidden in his boot. Like it was second nature, he pulled it, flipped it and stab Nine right in the chest. Just barely missing his heart on purpose, meaning it to be fatal if it had to be, but still there was allowance of letting him possibly live. However when Nine fell Star felt this not be the end, so with his mother hidden bloodline.A line that only one anyone knew of had, which was stronger connection then Star, yet it was still there in Star, instead of Light though it was more of a grey power. It could harm, but it could be helpful also to those of darkness. Though Star intended to harm, his hand would glow and he slam it into Nine chest. Setting him a blaze a moment, Nine screaming out in pain. He would send him into a state of Purgatory almost. He wasn't dead, but neither was he alive.
Star stared down at his father, he felt something running down his cheeks.Bringing up his hand and touches what it is, finding his cheek wet.Realizing it was tears, leaking from his eyes.He looked confused "Huh....seems you made me feel something, though I assure you, this is the last time." Walking off a moment, he wouldn't just leave his father body there. No he go to a village and get a shovel, coming back to bury his father into the earth. Leaving it unmarked, as to not let it be easy for anyone to find. No, he didn't want his father revived so fast.Thinking this was better, to keep him hidden. Let fate decided when he could come out of this sleep of the dead or whatever anyone called such state some vampires often get into. When he was done he sighs, Star was born detached from the world. Very very few things help bring him to attachment, Azeract was great at it.Great at sparking emotion into him, but often he let Azeract tell him how he should feel, but when Azeract left, he grew more detached. Nine almost caused an attachment to emotions, but Star refused to allow it, as his father would never look him in the eyes. Plus after the stories of his father and uncle he heard from Caine, he thought emotion was the biggest issue. So he stared at the unmarked grave and just shook his head. Walking away to go mend the wound to his shoulder, that and how to tell Gabriel of this.
