Dying Spirit

 Star was sitting alone, still in pain from hunger. Going through all these emotions and dealing with everything that was said to him. When he heard foot steps come up, looking over he see Azeract had come. Seems the hybrid had found him, he turn his head away, staring to the ground. Azeract sits next to him "You ran." he state "You ran and you didn't tell me, you tried to hide from even me." staring straight ahead.

Star frowned "I know." he murmur out. "I just didn't want to bother you with my problems."

Azeract side eyes Star "Whoever said you were a bother?"

Star looked at Azeract a moment and then looks down "How come you never stop being my friend? Even when I was emotionless and pushed everyone away. You stayed by my side, always putting up with me."

Azeract leans back "Because unlike everyone else, that day when what happened, happened. You never looked at me any different. You saw me, no matter what happen. You never once called me a monster, you continue to call me friend, you continue to treat me like a person. Sure you could be an ass with how you talk and lecture, but I could tell you could truly see into people for who they are."

Few tears rolling down Stars cheeks "I don't think thats true, I am not very good at seeing people for who they are."

Azeract watch Star "Whoever claims that, doesn't know you like I do."

Star looked into his hands "You ever want to just rip your own skin off? Like you feel so out of touch with your own body, like your an alien or a spirit just possessing it?"

Azeract looked up in thought, before speaking "Well isn't a soul just that? A spirit possessing a body?"

Star looked at Azeract "Ya..I guess. I just think my spirit wants out and a redo."

Azeract chuckle lightly "Mine too." Star look down again, tears still rolling down his cheeks. Azeract would lean over "Hey. What has you in such a dark spirit?And don't give me the bullshit of not wanting to push your problems on me crap either."

Star shrugs some "Have you ever disappointed someone so bad... that they told you, you made them lose all hope of you. That they rather die....then be family?"

Azeract looked away "Yeah."spoken in a soft tone, he frown "My mother."

Star nod slowly "My uncle." Azeract looked at Star a little bewilder "Gabriel?" he ask in a quiet tone. Star just nods slowly "I accidentally ran into him, we yelled. I....I begged him to kill me. I thought it was what he wanted....I mean if you say stuff like that, wouldn't you want that person dead?"

Azeract looked down again and just fiddle with his fingers "My mother wanted me dead. She always made sure I knew it." this subject was hard for Azeract. Gabriel had been nice to him, sure they had a few fights, but he never thought Gabriel was capable of cruelty. Not one so close to his mothers cruelty, slowly he reach a arm around Star. "I'm sorry."

Star sighs "I'm alone." he tells him. "I don't have family." Azeract looked to him and started to have tears coming down his cheeks too. Being the empathetic he was and this was so close to home for him. "What about your dad?He surely doesn't feel the same?"

Star frown more "I almost killed him, do you really think he'd forgive me of that? Gabriel couldn't and it wasn't even my fault. Why am I being punished for trying to defend myself?" Azeract furrow his brows some "That..that is unfair.Especially since I almost killed Gabriel once, when he tried to kill me. Well Caine was possessing him, but still." He took a deep breath "You sure he feels the same though? Nine and Gabriel are two totally different people, who are the opposite of each other."

Star looked at Azeract "He cut his connect with me before hand, he never once tried to have a relationship.He always cold and just tries to get away from me. Before when I felt nothing, it never bothered me, but now... now I feel so empty and alone."

Azeract felt for him, he knew this feeling well, he was also a little pissed off with what he was hearing.He have to make a point to visit Gabriel and get his side of this story, not that he didn't believe Star, but he wanted to see what the root of it was. "You are not alone. You have me, I'll never leave you.We are friends after all."

Star held his stomach "Yeah we are." Azeract frown still "Star, you'd let me know if you needed anything right?" Star looked to him "Yeah, but...this is something I have to do myself. "Azeract sighs and nods "Ok, but please...let me know before it gets worse. You look really bad and you know vampires have a hard time coming back from a frenzy." Star nods to him "I know."

Azeract hugged him tight "I don't want to lose you. You're my best friend and the only person who knows me." Star weakly hugs him back "I'm trying, its just not easy. Especially with everything else, but thanks. Atleast I have one person in this world, one person who sees me and accepts me." Azeract nods "Always." he slowly stood up and says "I need to go for now, but...you know how to reach me if you should need me." Star nods to him. "Yeah I do." Azeract weakly smiled to him, before he head off.
